The hand pump is a simple machine, operated by hand, or using the human motor skills. Also known as the pump arm, it is similar to operating principle to the foot pumps, which, however, are actuated with the feet. They are normally hydraulic pumps, but their use also extends to the use with other types of liquids or fluids.
